I’m sorry, I just realize that I made a mistake on my last post. I meant posters will be available on Friday, April 26th ! for online viewing and purchase through the Spoke Art website.

Dylan is God to me, and I don’t like to use his name in vain. But I thought that the upcoming “Scorsese: an art show tribute” would be a good opportunity to create a devotional poster about him.  Presented by Spoke Art, the show will be hosted at Bold Hype Gallery in New York City. I hope New Yorkers like this artwork that tries to show Macdougal street the way it looked in the 60‘s, where it all began. For those who don’t like the city, there’s a colder rural image if you turn the poster upside down. Nevertheless, the concept is redundant in both pictures: No direction home (which is by the way the name of the movie that inspired this poster).

The original idea was to attach a small engine in the back of the poster, to spin the image every 30 seconds, but unfortunately it was out of our budget and it would’ve been uneasy to deliver. You will have to do it manually, I’m afraid.

If you can’t make it to the opening, posters will be available on Friday, April 19th for online viewing and purchase through the Spoke Art website.

Second part of Bad Dads: a tribute to the films of Wes Anderson opens tonight, Friday 26th, with the usual Halloween costume party. I’ll be presenting an actual deck of cards, showing characters of the first four films of Wes Anderson. A slight variation to the Happy Families cards featured on the poster, suitable for common games like poker and blackjack. The edition is limited to 150 decks, and they’re all signed and numbered. You can get yours at the show:  Spoke Art, 816 Sutter St. San Francisco, CA. Decks remaining will be sold online after the opening.

Once again, Spoke Art returns with its annual Wes Anderson-tribute art show, Bad Dads. This year, a short but huge debut of the exhibition will take place at the New York Comic Con from October 11th – 14th. And since the show will be divided in two parts, my contribution for the show this year will be divided in two parts as well. First part consists in a simple but funny “happy families” cards displayed in a poster. Only 30 copies will be made and they will be exclusively available at the fair. If you interested on getting your hands on a copy, go visit the Comic Con. Spoke Art will be at booth #3220.

Second part of the show will open with a Halloween costume party at Spoke Art San Francisco next October 26th and 27th. And boy, oh boy am I excited about my second artwork! Coming soooon!!!!

These promotional posters were commissioned by the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco to promote a sanctioned screening of this film at the theater.

After two amazing pop-up shows in Seattle and Portland, PangeaSeed is back in the Bay Area at Spoke Art Gallery. During two days, the graceful spirit of sharks will reside at 816 Sutter St. San Francisco.

I created this poster for the shark tour, which is available here. Most of the earnings are going to PangeaSeed to preserve and protect sharks and their habitat. For more info please visit this site.

And this is me, doing some signing on my wavy couch.

Voilá quoi.
